Separators are for gas-liquid and liquid-liquid separation. Liquid condensates, lubricating oil, solid particles in any natural gas or process pipeline provided several maintenance problems with compressors and instrumentation. Liquids, especially, wet the pipe walls and tend to glue the solid in the lines thus creating deposits which result in increased pressure drop and reduced transmission efficiency.

Liquid droplets are filtered in 2 stages, a first stage separator and a second stage high efficiency vane mist eliminator. These units are capable of removing 99% of all solid and liquid particles of 1 micron size and above. The pressure drop is low although it depends on the operating conditions ans the type of filter element. Maintenance only includes occasional changes of filter elements. Life of the elements depending on the operating conditions can c vary from six months to one year.
